The Counter
Before I came back to school Bryan and I went to go eat at The Counter. It's a "custom built burger" you get to pick all the items you want on your burger. Quite delicious but a bit on the pricey side for just a burger. Posting this because I'm craving it, but mostly because I miss him. Well back to my studies on this rainy Sunday!

Tessa's Birthday Brunch!
Making banana chocolate chip pancakes -very messily.
Malia making breakfast sausages with HUGE pitchfork....
Happy Birthday Miss Tessa (check out her new blog)! I am so incredibly blessed to have you in my life and I pray that the Lord blesses your 21st year of life with blessings upon blessings! My only wish to you is that you don't graduate early, but I know that the Lord has great plans for you. And I hope you know that the food was delicious because we put 2 extra cups of love in. Love you and Happy birthday.
p.s. birthday girl is glowing...literally
(please excuse the crappy iPhone pictures, Betsy Shutter (my camera) is currently being babysitted by Bryan)

Brownstone Cafe!
Today was a beautiful day in southern california, where the weather was in the mid-seventies. (primetime) Jinny and I went on a little lunch date to brownstone cafe in downtown fullerton. It's a nice cozy cafe in the courtyard.

After dinner and a little shopping we went to go watch The Help, and the tomatometer does not lie. It was an amazing movie -you're crying and then laughing within 15 seconds. Emma Stone my heart is softening up towards you, it takes time to recover from your role in Easy A though you have been redeeming yourself in Crazy, Stupid Love and The Help.

Tranquil Tea Lounge
Tomorrow is our dear friend's birthday, so after church we decided to grab lunch at Tranquil Tea Lounge in Fullerton. It's such a cute cafe to grab lunch, and they have a half sandwich half soup or salad with tea all for 8 dollars!

Saul's
Today I went on a little adventure with my best friend, we headed up toward berkeley and while roaming around a kind woman suggested her favorite little joint that she's been going to for 40 years! So we followed her into Saul's and it was quite delicious!

DIY boiling crab!
This past Sunday was Father's day, but since I am away from home taking summer classes a couple of my friends and I who are also away from their fathers decided to throw a little bbq. I was debating on whether or not to try and make the boiling crab recipe with shrimp and their delicious corn. So we went out and bought some shrimp, corn and seasonings to being with along with some lemons from our backyard. I did not have a recipe so I just did everything by "feel" and threw the lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, old bay seasoning, and cajun seasoning in a pot and boiled it together then threw in the corn and shrimp! It was a delicious fatherless father's day meal!
some taro ice cream with bananas along with watermelon for dessert!
